Multimedia Public Speaking
  1. The multimedia presentation team consists of three participants, with two speakers and one technical member.
  2. This multimedia presentation that incorporates multimedia elements, such as PowerPoint, video, or audio support, allows participants to use additional materials to enhance their presentation.
  3. The tools used for delivering the presentation are not within the control of the speakers, and the technical members must operate any supporting aids during the presentation.
  4. The use of supporting material is allowed as long as it does not conflict with the concept of presentation.
  5. Each group is given 5 minutes to present arguments and present infographics/slides/ supporting material presentation. Voting will be carried out to determine the turn of speakers.
  6. The time begins counting from the moment the participant starts speaking. A bell will ring one minute before the end, and twice when the time is up. 
  7. Criticism of provocative, political, or sensitive issues touching the sensitivity of a race, religion, and belief nor a person’s personality is absolutely prohibited. The judges have the right to deduct the score if this is found to be the case.
  8. Participants must deliver a presentation in English.
  9. Participants must submit the multimedia presentation title and any multimedia resources during the registration.
  10. The organiser has prepared a laptop running Windows 11 with Microsoft Office 2020.
  11. Participants must dress modestly and appropriately during the presentation.
  12. Preliminary round:
    (a) All groups are required to propose a public speaking title. The proposed presentation title must be related to the theme of the convention “Moving Beyond Silos towards Transdisciplinary in Sustainable Food and Agriculture”.
    (b) Only five groups with the highest scores qualify to compete in the finals. The selection of five finalists will be evaluated by judges appointed by the judging committee.
  13. Final round:
    (a) Final round groups will draw votes for the title to be presented. The title is related to the theme of the convention “Moving Beyond Silos towards Transdisciplinary in Sustainable Food and Agriculture”.
    (b) Groups are given 1.5 hours to prepare a multimedia presentation based on the title drawn before the final round competition.
  14. Teams must abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the organizers, and failure to do so may result in disqualification.
